| Abstract: | New data on clouds and moisture, made possible by reanalysis of weather satellite observations, show that the atmosphere reacts to warm ocean pools in the Western Pacific Ocean with increased moisture and cloudiness, suggesting a negative feedback limiting the rise in sea-surface temperature. |
