| Title: | A Novel Design Technique for Beam-Waveguide Antennas |
| Authors: | W., Imbriale Esquivel, M. Manshadi, F. |

| Abstract: | The new 34-m beam-waveguide (BWG) antenna at Goldstone has a beam magnifier ellipse below ground level that transforms a 22-dB gain feedhorn into a high-gain 29-dB gain pattern for input to a standard four-mirror BWG system. It was initially designed for the X- an Ka-bands, and has a loss of less than 0.2 dB. |
