Abstract: A laboratory calibration of the Airborne Visible Infrared Imaging Spectrometer (AVIRIS) allowed experimentation with several innovative calibration techniques that would improve calibration accuracy, provide independent checks for systematic errors, and reduce the time required to collect a calibration data set.
