| Abstract: | A mission to the sun has recently been studied by a joint U.S. - Russian team to determine the complementary science that can be accomplished by nearly simultaneous observations from two spacecraft on trajectories approaching the sun. The FIRE study included the latest Solar Probe spacecraft concept from the U.S. and the latest Ziolkovsky spacecraft concept from Russia -- planned to be mated. |
